The meeting went very well. We had 2 new couples and 1 new single. One of the couples' daughter was recently diagnosed.

Our speaker, Marcia Melincoff was very good. She spoke about care giving. Her presentation was a little over an hour. We all felt that we wanted more. She should be brought back. The new people all understood that they must get to an amy center, for a second opinion and to hear what the experts in the field have to say about their cases.

I just wanted to thank everyone who came to the Philadelphia support group meeting. We had some wonderful sharing. It was great to meet our newest members, Eileen and Kevin.

We are looking forward to our next meeting on Saturday, September 17th at Blumle Life Sciences building at 10th and Locust Sts. Jefferson Medical School and hospital did an outstanding job for us.

There were 26 very happy people today in Philadelphia. Elinda Lado ran a terrific meeting of patients, care givers, and those who had lost loved ones. We had AA, AL, and Familial of various forms. We had pre transplant, post transplant, and thinking about transplant. The city of brotherly love was indeed filled with it today. Elinda will fill you in later. She is so high, we can't scrape her off the ceiling. She keeps saying, " They liked me, they really liked me.". Her husband and I are pulling her down now so we can go to dinner. Sue Smith, you had better get ready as this group wants to do awareness in a big way.

Love you all, Muriel, 19 Mar 2005
